Product details

ProductELISpot Flex: Human Perforin (ALP)
ApplicationELISpot
AnalytePerforin
ReactivityHuman, Non-human primates
SpecificityThis kit is based on a matched pair of mAbs specific for human perforin.
Cross-reactivityThe mAbs react with human perforin and cross-react with perforin from non-human primates (NHP). For more information please check the Cross-reactivity guide section below.

Shipping and Storage

ShippingShipped at ambient temperature.
StorageStore at 4-8 °C upon receipt.
Shelf lifeAt least 18 months from date of receipt.
PBMC (250,000 cells/well) were incubated for 72 h in the absence or presence of the CEF peptide pool (available from Mabtech, code 3615-1) and the number of cells secreting Perforin was analyzed by ELISpot.

The systems reactive with NHPs are either based on cross-reactive human kits or specifically developed monkey kits (NHP).

Cross-reactivity verification tests have been performed in ELISpot and/or ELISA by Mabtech and/or by others. Evaluations of assays with less solid evidence of cross-reactivity are shown as symbols within parentheses.

Perforin

Analyte description

Perforin is produced by cytotoxic T cells and NK cells as an effector molecule in the cell-mediated destruction of target cells. Perforin is responsible for pore formation and facilitates the delivery of granzymes which induces apoptosis of the target cell.
