Mouse IgA ELISpot kits

Pick the right ELISpot kit for Mouse IgA. Our kits differ in how you develop the signal – this page explains what those differences mean.

IgA ELISpot kits are also available for human, and monkey.

What differs between these kits

Which detection system

Available with Streptavidin-ALP or Streptavidin-HRP. You add the streptavidin conjugate as a second incubation after the biotinylated antibody, which amplifies the signal. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) perform equivalently, so that choice usually comes down to the substrate and reader you already work with.

About IgA

These Mouse IgA ELISpot kits target Igha (Mus musculus, Gene ID 238447).

IgA (Immunoglobulin A) represents only 10-15% of the total Ig molecules in serum but is the predominating Ig isotype in secretions and in the gastrointestinal and urogenital tract. The IgA found in secretions (secretory IgA or sIgA) is commonly a dimer with two IgA molecules joined by the J chain. Secretory IgA is the most important Ig isotype in mucous surfaces, the area of entry for most pathogens.
