Intended use

This ELISA Pro kit is intended for the quantification of human IL-1β in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Serum/Plasma samples

The ELISA diluent included in this kit blocks heterophilic antibodies from cross-linking the assay antibodies, thereby preventing false-positive read-outs. Heterophilic antibodies are commonly found in human serum/plasma and can also be present in other species. The ELISA diluent has been validated using serum/plasma samples from healthy human blood donors.

Storage	Store detection mAb, Streptavidin-HRP, buffers/solutions, and substrate at 4-8 °C upon receipt. The ELISA standard should be stored at -20 °C. Plates may be kept at room temperature.
Shelf life	At least 12 months from date of receipt.

Standard range	1-316 pg/ml
Sensitivity	0.4 pg/ml The lowest concentration that can be detected, but not necessarily quantified with precision and accuracy. This was determined by adding 3 standard deviations to the mean OD of background wells.
