What’s new?
Today, we are adding new FluoroSpot kits to our webshop: Mouse IgM/IgG, Mouse IgG/IgA, Mouse IgM/IgA, and Mouse IgM/IgG/IgA. In addition to the capture and detection antibodies, these FluoroSpot Flex kits include uncoated FluoroSpot plates as well as the memory B cell stimulation reagents IL-2 and R848.
For practical reasons, these new kits aren’t part of our pick-and-choose FluoroSpot Flex platform, yet. They will have their individual web pages instead.
Why run B cell FluoroSpot?
The beauty of running a B cell FluoroSpot is that you can use it in many ways. Firstly, you can decide to either use your samples directly to characterize plasma cells, or memory B cells can be stimulated into antibody-secreting cells prior to the analysis in FluoroSpot.
Secondly, you can set up the assay differently. The classical sandwich setup allows you to detect the total amount of the different isotypes (IgM/IgG/IgA). Alternatively, the kits can be utilized to find antigen-specific B cells. This is typically achieved by coating the antigen of interest to the plate. Finding these rare antigen-specific cells is made possible by the high sensitivity of FluoroSpot.
