Immunological effects of hyperlipidemia

Published: September 27, 2018

Centa et al. (Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol., 2018) have made a very useful model system where they deplete apoE in adult mice to be able to study immunological effects of hyperlipidemia. The authors could show that the adaptive immune response occurring in response to acute hyperlipidemia on APOE loss promotes atherosclerosis.

The apoE plasma levels were followed using Mabtech’s ELISA Pro: Mouse apoE.

Aboumsallem et al. (Br J Pharmacol., 2018) have used another mouse model to study the effect of recombinant HDLMilano on established heart failure. Mouse apoA1 was analysed with Mabtech’s ELISA Pro: Mouse apoA1.
