What is CCL11 (Eotaxin)?
CCL11, also known as Eotaxin-1, is a chemokine primarily secreted by epithelial cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and smooth muscle cells. Its main role in the immune system is to recruit eosinophils to sites of allergic inflammation through the receptor CCR3.
