Apolipoprotein J (apo) is a multifunctional protein with chaperone capabilities. Plasma and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) levels of apoJ / clusterin are associated with age, atherosclerosis, diabetes, inflammation, and Alzheimer’s disease. The normal concentration of apoJ/clusterin in human plasma is approximately 0.035-0.3 g/L.
