Improvement of Human and Monkey IL-2 ELISpot kits

As of Oct 27, 2008, Mabtech's immunoassay reagents for human and monkey IL-2, respectively, will be modified. The previous capture mAb IL2-I (human) and IL2M-I (monkey) will be used in combination with the newly developed mAb 249. The detection mAb used (IL2-II-biotin) will remain the same but the recommended concentrations for both capture and detection mAbs have been changed to further improve the ELISpot assays.
The quality of the ELISA systems remains the same.

Inclusion of mAb 249 improves the capture of IL-2 and results in sharper and more defined spots, better suited for automated reader analysis. Below, this effect is exemplified with images from human IL-2 ELISpot. Similar positive results are obtained in the monkey IL-2 ELISpot.
We hope that the new IL-2 systems will add value to your tests. However, should you prefer to use the previous IL-2 system, it will be available upon request as separate reagents until the end of September 2009.

The product codes for the kits remain the same. Code changes apply only for the separate reagents.

If you have any questions regarding the IL-2 assays or the ELISpot in general we encourage you to contact us and welcome any comments that you may have.
